Faculty members from the School of Engineering, Pokhara University, participated in the Training of Trainers (TOT) Program on the GSGS Curriculum, held on 25–26 June 2026 at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok, Thailand.
Organized by the GSGS Regional Hub South & Southeast Asia in collaboration with AIT, the two-day program brought together faculty members from universities across Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Nepal. The training aimed to strengthen educators’ capacity to deliver practice-oriented teaching on Citywide Inclusive Sanitation (CWIS) and support the implementation of the GSGS curriculum.
Key sessions covered CWIS principles, sanitation technologies, resource recovery, gender and social inclusion, climate-resilient sanitation, governance, financing, behaviour change communication (BCC), and digital information systems. Participants also visited AIT’s NATS Laboratory for hands-on exposure to sanitation research and innovative technologies.
The program enhanced faculty knowledge and teaching practices, supported the development of classroom-ready teaching materials, and strengthened regional academic collaboration. The School of Engineering extends its sincere appreciation to the GSGS Regional Hub South & Southeast Asia and AIT for organizing this valuable capacity-building program.
