A two-day Capacity Development Training was successfully organized on April 16–17, 2026, at the SPHERA Hall of the School of Engineering, Pokhara University. The program was jointly organized by the School of Engineering in collaboration with the Gandaki Province Training Academy.
The inauguration session was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Bed Raj KC, Registrar Associate Professor Dr. Ajay Thapa, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology Associate Prof. Er. Buddhi Raj Joshi, Executive Director Mr. Surendra Babu Tiwari of Gandaki Province Training Academy, and Prof. Dr. Binaya Kumar Mishra, Director of the School of Engineering. They highlighted the importance of such training programs in enhancing institutional efficiency, strengthening coordination between academic and administrative functions, and improving overall service delivery.
The training featured a series of interactive and insightful sessions delivered by experienced professionals. Ms. Tol Maya Thapa presented on the interrelationship between academic and administrative tasks. Er. Manoj Poudel conducted two sessions focusing on inventory management and auction/sale procedures of outdated assets, as well as work evaluation and academic visit management. Mr. Keshav Raj Dhakal delivered sessions on auditing and audit irregularities and their settlement. Er. Nabin Gautam presented on public procurement, while Mr. Surendra Babu Tiwari conducted a session on public communication.
The training was highly interactive and practical, aimed at enhancing participants’ working style and efficiency. More than 30 faculty members (primarily coordinators) and staff participated in the program, representing the School of Engineering, School of Development and Social Engineering, and the Faculty of Science and Technology of Pokhara University.
The final session included a yoga program conducted by the team from Art of Living Foundation, followed by certificate distribution. The program concluded with closing remarks by Prof. Dr. Binaya Kumar Mishra, Director of the School of Engineering, who summarized the key outcomes of the training.
The entire event was smoothly conducted with Er. Sanjay Baral serving as the Master of Ceremony.
